Summer Collection

Good Morning! I apologise for the lack of blog posts recently, I have been silly busy moving house and enjoying a much needed break in the Spanish sunshine!

When it comes to summer, I always believe less is more. Some rustic beautiful furniture, an outside setting (weather permitting) and some beautiful flowers are all you need to create a beautiful display.

Summer is all about DIY. Picking your own flowers, your own strawberries - making your own cocktails, and your own centrepieces. If you are planning on throwing a party or small gathering, for yourself or your little ones, just try to be creative and unique in your display. I have collected a few of my favourite garden party displays below for your inspiration;

Simple furniture, hand painted sign, some cake stands and flowers- perfect

I love the colour in this photograph. Homemade cocktails and ice lollies all tie in with the theme, (in my next post I will be supplying some recipes for the best ice lollys!)

Easy to make lanterns with battery candles create such an idyllic setting, and again- simple furniture and beautiful flowers!

I simply love these...

I love these straw toppers- made using cupcake cups, I will admit I have yet to attempt these,  but they don't look too fiddly!

We use stripe straws, chevron straws, polka dot straws etc etc, but these flowery straws are by far my favourite for summer! Perfect if you don't have the time to make the cupcake cup toppers!
If you don't have many flowers vases at home and want to display flowers, just be imagintive and use anything you have.. jam jars, tea pots, wine bottles...

If you do have a party coming up and need to buy a variety of flowers, get yourself down to Columbia flower market on Columbia Road in Hoxton (every Sunday morning). I was there a couple of weeks ago whilst my mum was visiting and am always blown away by how beautiful the flowers are.

My lovely Mum

The next post this week will focus on party outfits for your little ones. I have been scouring the shops and internet and found some fantastic deals in the summer sales!

Hope you all have a lovely week,
